Gooch was made man of the match but the award might have gone to any cone of a number of England players Eddie Hemming’s, 38yearold. Off spinner who had been ignored by England for four years before being recalled for the World Cup, bowled Viv Richards for SI. Took one other wicket, ran out Roger Harper and caught Gus Logie.
