It is unfortunate that yet another religious shrine (CharareSharief) of significant Indian historical importance, was completely destroyed in the ongoing saga of Indian government’s attempt to find forcible solutions to the political problems of Kashmir & Punjab. But what is more disturbing is the staged aftermath picture of rejoicing Akali Sikh politicians & Sikh soldier shown in Hindu propaganda newspapers including India Abroad of 06/09/95, after the burning of the Muslim shrine. What is there to rejoice Oh foolish Akalis? The Bengalese, Madrasees, Gujratees & other Indian Hindu communities are not burning the effigies of Ms. Bhutto why should you allow yourself to be used by the Center? Don’t these ignorant Akalis realize that these pictures are circulated all over the world & used by Hindus to get the maximum mileage out of it? Why would the Akalis & Sikhs want to make more enemies in this world?

It is further interesting to note that while Sikhs in India are not allowed to assemble for their own rights in Punjab which is considered anti-Indian & thousands of them are still Janguishing in jail since 1984 under TADA, Sikh stooges are nevertheless encouraged to assemble & raise anti-Pakistan & anti Bhutto slogans for their alleged role of abetting militancy in Kashmir. Akali Sikhs, Congress Sikhs & the Sikh soldiers should realize by now: that for the Hindus, the Sikhs in India are only good for cannon fodder & for pitying them against the Muslims. Indi as superficial & deceitful efforts in bringing the thousands guilty of 1984 Sikh massacre to trial or finding just solutions to their other grievances in the last decade, the world is well aware of & I guess needs no further comment.

In other related matters, Brigadier Mohinder Singh’s role in Kashmir shrine crisis should be publicly denounced by the Sikh community in the Western World. He did have a choice, a choice to resign & face court-martial, His actions are reminiscent to that of General Brar’s (another Sikh) role in the Golden Temple attack by the Indian army in 1984 where the Sikh soldiers under order from the center desecrated their most revered shrine and killed thousands of their own community people, Surely Sikhs can find other sources of earnings in India, other than serving the Indian army for the purposes of killing fellow countrymen.
