CHANDIGARH India: Two gunmen shot dead a Sessions Judge Mr. Gainda Ram at Jalandhar. The victim was gunned down when he was making purchases in a shop close to Nanak Mission Hospital. According to eyewitness accounts two armed young men entered the shop and opened fire at the Session Judge hitting him in the chest neck and a leg. No one else in the shop was injured

The assailants escaped after the attack along with their two companions who were waiting outside on their motorcycles While escaping they fired in the air to frighten The peoples Me Gunde recently transferred to Jalandhar from Hoshiarpur.

In another incident near village Chola Sahib 20 kilometers from Tarn Taran some young men ambushed a police party that was patrolling the area in a station wagon on the night of September.

 1 Two policemen were killed on the spot and four others were seriously injured. The injured include one A.S and one Head Constable. They have been admitted to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Amritsar.

The assailants escaped after the attack. This is the fourth attack on BSF and C.R.P.F. Patrol parties during the last few days.
