PHAGWARA: Irate residents of 10 villages threatened to block trains and Jaunch an agitation in case their demands, in wake of the April 3 Khajurala DMUvan accident were not accepted within 10 days,
Their demands included Rs 10 lakh compensation for the kin of each child killed in the accident, job to the widow of the Matador driver, Paramjit Singh, immediate arrest of erring gateman Gurdey Lal, free treatment and suit able compensation to the injured, shifting of railway quarters situated along the railway track and felling of the vision blocking trees along the track around the level crossing.
