L.A,,CA: Lankershim Gurdwara celebrated the 295th Birthday of the Khalsa Panth on Vaisakhi day April 17,1994.
The three day celebration started on April 15 with Akhand Path at 10 a.m. with a Akhand Path Bhog on April 17 at 10 a.m. This was followed by the Kirtan Diwan by famous Ragi Jathas which lasted till 2:00 p.m.
Hundreds of Sikh families gathered so that the parking lot was full beyond its capacity. The tum out was far beyond the expectations of the committee.
Jasbir Singh Tung – Chairman of the Gurdwara extended thanks on behalf of the whole committee to those who came to celebrate the Birthday of the Khalsa Panth, and further he requested the entire Sadh Sangat of the L.A. area to join in the twice a week in Kirtan Diwan held on Fridays 7-9 p.m. and Sundays 11 pm.
