NEW DELHI: Prime Minister VP Singh will pan official visit to the Soviet Union possibly later this month.

An external affairs ministry spokesman said here details regarding the visit were being worked out.

Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had visited Moscow last July.

Deteriorating situation on the subcontinent following Pakistan’s continued support to secessionist elements in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir is expected to come under a sharp focus during Mr. Singh’s talks with Soviet leaders.

The changing scenario in Europe and its impact on developing countries will be another key issue to be taken up by the two sides.
