SURAJKUND: An unprecedented move, India Air Force (LAF) radar units have been requisitioned to provide air cover from an undisclosed base near the Surajkund tour resort on leaders attending the AICC session.
A squadron of helicopter gunships from the airbase would also be available for “any localized assistance,” senior Haryana police officers told reporters.
IAF helicopters would also take sorties and monitor vehicular movement during the two-day session.

On Saturday evening, sharp shooters of the Chocolate Brown Cats were positioned on rooftops as also along the periphery of the Surajkund resort.
Since the accuracy range of Russian weapon Dragunoy SSD is only 500 yards, some snipers are also likely to be given the deadly Heckler & Koch’s PSG/1 which was used by Black Cats in the ‘Operation Blue Thunder’ with a very high success rate. The police seem to have virtually taken over Hotel Rajbans in Surajkund complex and Haryana Bhavan in New Delhi. Top-ranking officials have been camping in the Capital to coordinate their moves with the NSG, IB and Delhi Police.
A small team from the Special Protection Group (SPG) has ensconced itself in one of the Hermitage Tourist huts adjoining the main pandal.
