Islamabad, Pakistan — Three Indian soldiers were killed in a clash between Pakistani and Indian troops in the disputed Himalayan state of Kashmir on Friday, the Defense Ministry said Saturday.
A spokesman said the fight broke out when an armed Indian patrol violated a ceasefire line and fired on Pakistani soldiers “without any provocation.”
Pakistani troops, the spokesman said, fired back at the “intruders” and killed three Indian soldiers.
India had no immediate comment on the report.
