CALCUTTA: Former Prime Minister, VP. Singh, said last week that a third force comprising National Front, Left Front and other secular, democratic and progressive parties, would emerge after the current round of assembly polls on the basis of a common program as an alternative to the Congress and BJP and form a coalition government at the Center the next Lok Sabha election.

Singh who along with the Janata Dal president, S.R. Bommai, arrived here from Manipur told media persons al the air on that the forces which were ideologically more closer should not light one another. I would wish that the UP Chief Minister. Mulayam Singh Yadav, should think of coordinating with those forces. I shall be very happy if he does that,” he said.
