New Delhi: Assam chief Minister after talks with the Central Cabinet Sub-committee including Finance Minister S.B. Chavan and Defense Minister Narsimah Rao, informed the press that dialogue with Assam agitation leaders will start very shortly. He also told them that he was in touch with Assam leaders and they were all very anxious for an early solution of the long pending issue. The talks with Assam leaders had broken down long ago and the agitation was brutally put down by handing over the control to the Army. Army control was preceded by cold blooded massacre of over 10,000 Muslims. Peace has eluded this ill-starred State for more than five years.
