NEW YORK: The monthly Punjabi language magazine Sura, which is published from Amritsar, will be made available free to all interested Gur Sikhs in America and Canada according to Bhai Jiwan Singh.

The Sura is published by the Jatha of late Bhai Sahib Randhir ‘Singh and has articles on various religious aspects of the Sikh religion by him and other leading Sikh writers.

All those interested in getting the Sura may either write to Sura, Mai Sewa Bazar, Amritsar or call 604-996-8562, according to Bhai Jiwan Singh.

He also exhorted all Sikh mothers to recite the holy name (nam japna) to their young infants and young children so that the young ones could be inculcated in a proper Sikh culture.

Children who could recite Nam and Gurbani would be given prizes like books on Gurbani and other awards he said.
