NEW DELHI: K-Srinivasan now Secretary Westin the External Affairs Ministry has been appointed as the new Foreign Secretary succeeding J.N. Dixit
Dixit retires on January 31. Srinivasan 57 belongs to the 1959 batch of Indian Foreign Service is the senior most officer in the ministry. The government has followed the criterion of seniority in the appointment.
