COLOMBO, Nov. 15, Reuters: Five Tamil guerrillas were killed and 11 arrested by security forces in separate incidents yesterday, the Sri Lankan ‘government said today.

Four guerrillas were killed and five were arrested when troops raided and destroyed a rebel ammunition dump in trincomalee, a government statement said.

In the second incident at Kill finocchi, soldiers shot dead a rebel and arrested six more near a Hindu temple, it added.

The statement said guerrillas belonging to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the biggest of six rebel groups fighting for a separate state in the Island’s north and east, were involved in both incidents.
