BATHINDA: Wrestlers from Punjab Police, BSF, PSEB, and CRPF of national and international repute are taking part.

In the 62 kg category Hira Singh (PAP) Rajinder Singh Jalandhar) Sukhdip Singh (Ropar) Dashrath Kumar (Kapurthala) Malkiat Singh (Mansa) and Milakh Raj (Bathinda) were declared winners. In the 68 kg category Bhup Singh (BSF) Baljindger Singh (Jalandhar) Mahinder Singh (Faridkot) Bhupinder Singh (Punjab Police) Dharampal Singh (Kapurthala) Gurpreet Singh (Amritsar) Sukhpal Singh (Bathinda) and Jagdeep Singh (Ludhiana) remained winners.

In the 74 kg category Daulat Singh (Punjab Police) Mohinder Singh (Ropar) Mehar Singh (Amritsar) Amandeep Singh (Ferozepure) Kagdev Singh (Bathinda) Jaswant Singh (BSF) Pawan Kumar (Faridkot) and Balveer Singh (Kapurthala) stood first. In 82 kg Harjit Singh (Kapurthala) Mander Singh (Mansa) Sukhmander Singh (Hoshiarpur) Devisaran (Gurdaspur) Santokh Singh (BSF) Amritpal Singh (Bathinda) Harcharan Singh (Amitsar) and Lehmbar Singh (Punjab Police) were declared winners. In 100 kg Amrik Singh (Kapurthala) Amrik Singh (PSEB) and Madan Lal (Jalandhar) finished on top. In 130 kg Jagdish Singh (Bathinda) Jagbir Singh (Ludhiana) and Gurmukh Singh (PSEB) stood first.

In 57 kg Mandeep Singh of Faridkot stood first. Mr.Rajdeep Singh Gill, DIG, inaugurated the championship. He declared that the wrestlers getting distinction in the championship would be recruited in Punjab Police and those from Punjab Police who set records would be promoted.
