NEW DELHI, India, European hockey champions the Netherlands scored two late second half goals to beat former Olympic champions India and win the Indira Gandhi Memorial Gold Cup.

The Netherlands, the only unbeaten team in the round Robin, totaled 11 points from six matches played in the seven nation tournament finished runners-up with nine points after they beat Kenya 40, while India took third place with six points.

Watering snapped the scoreless tie for the Dutch with a go all in the 65th minute and Erik added another three minutes later for the clincher.

The Soviet Union took fourth place by handing Asian Games champions South Korea their third successive defeat 42. Poland finished sixth behind South Korea and Kenya was last.

Ignacio Escude of Spain was top scorer in the tournament with eight goals from six matches.
