DHAKA, Bangladesh: More than 100 People, including 12 policemen, were hurt when fans of two rival soccer clubs hurled rocks, bricks and homemade bombs at each other following a match in southern Bangladesh.

A least 29 people were arrested on Charges of rioting, police said,

The brawi began Sunday night in the Port city of Chittagong after a match between league champion Abahani Sports Club and the Brothers Union ended in a 11 draw, police said by telephone.

Police said the referee apparently stopped the game one minute early. One of the

players punched the referee in the face and other players and fans quickly joined in the violence, throwing iron rods, sticks, bricks, rocks and small bombs at each other, police said,

Mobs also burned or damaged at least25 ‘cars and buses and looted six shops and a house near Chittagong Stadium, police said,

The fighting lasted nearly three hours, according to police.

On September 17, more than 100 people were injured in a clash at Chittagong Stadium after another hometown club lost to another team.
