COLOMBO, May 12, Reuter: Tamil guerrillas blew up an Indian army vehicle with a landmine on Thursday in Sri Lanka killing six soldiers, state radio said.

Troops rushed to the spot near the eastern port of Trincomalee to search for hate guerrillas who are fighting for a Tamil homeland in north and east Sri Lanka.

New Delhi has sent more than 50,000 troops to help Colombo put down the rebellion.

Indian soldiers killed a Tamil guerrilla in an attack on a rebel camp near the northern town of Vayuniya on Thursday, military sources said.
