The Sikh Welfare Foundation of North America is pleased to announce the award of two scholarships for the best entries in an essay contest.

The subject for the essay is: The Significance of ‘ARDAS’’ in Sikhism.

The scholarships will be awarded for the best essay as follows:

  1. A senior scholarship will be awarded to a student between the ages of 1520 years. The amount of the senior scholarship is $300.00.
  2. A junior scholarship of $200.00 will be awarded to a student below the age of 15 years.

The award essays will ultimately be published in the form ofa booklet for distribution. Some consolation wards, in the form of books on Sikhism, may also be given away. The last day for submission of essays is September 1, 1987.
