TORONTO: A Metro Toronto Housing Authority employee has quit her $41,500 a year job and is going on the welfare. The mother of two said that she can make almost the same on welfare. But the Ontario government and an independent accounting firm say Hello Haggard is actually going to lose at least $5,000 net income a year through her dramatic move. Haggard estimated a pro level monthly income of $1,973 on welfare comparing with the 1993 a month from her job, which is before taxes.
