FRESNO: The second Sikh Punjabi camp was held at the Gurdwara Sahib here from August 14 to 26. It was attended by 44 children in the 616 years age group%.

Children were taught Punjabi and basic religion as well as Kirtan, Sports activities, picnics and field activities were also organized. The enthusiasm of the children in all these activities was unbelievable.

On the closing day, August 26, a Diwan was held in the main hall of the Gurdwara Sahib. The children played musical instruments and did kirtans. They also gave talks on Sikh religion. After prayers a young boy said the “ardas”. Karah parshad was distributed after the ceremony.

All the children were given certificates by Giani ji Gurbachan Singh. The stage was organized by Mrs Sidhu. Mrs. Ranu congratulated the sangat and gurdwara of Fresno and hoped for many such camps, in future. These were some of the activities the children participated in at the camp.
