CHANDIGARH: A Sarbat Khalsa conclave of the Sikh intelligentsia will be convened here, April 16 10 discuss the political goal of the Akalis to be announced on Baisakhi.
The Guru Gobind Singh Foundation Properties Trust chairman, Dr. Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia, told media persons here, that the conclave was being organized under the auspices of “The Group 1999” Eminent Sikh scholars and writers, university and college teachers, heads of the Sikh religious institutions, former vice chancellors medicos and technocrats, besides the political activists and the past jathedars sof the five Takhts were being invited to this meet
Dr. Ahluwalia said in case the new political policy document turned out to be unprincipled, ambiguous and self-contradictory compromise between opposing ideological trends, a call would be given by the conclave to mobilize the Sikh awareness.
He said the politico-ideological clarity should be kept in view by the drafters of the new political manifesto.
