CHANDIGARH: S. Jagiit Singh Rode, brother of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was reportedly killed when he was run over by a passenger train, S, Jagiit Singh was the General Secretary of United kali Dal which is headed by his father, Baba Joginder Singh.
First reports indicated that he had committed suicide but police later contradicted this story and informed that Mr. Rode was struck in the track between the lines, Leaders of the United Akali Dal and other Sikh organizations rushed to the scene,
Baba Joginder Singh, however, discounted the police version and called it a murder. Over fifty thousand Sikhs attended the funeral of S. Jagiit Singh Rode.
