YUBA CITY: The death of S: ‘Gurbux Singh Johal a peach and prune orchardist of Marysville California, has created a wave of shock and sorrow in the Sikh circles of Marysville, Yuba City and other parts of California, Mr. Johal died on October 8, 1988 at Sacramento Medical Center.

Gurbux Singh, a known social figure and a popular personality of the area, was a member of the California Cling Peach Association of Yuba City, Sutter Farm Bureau and the Sikh Temple Yuba City.

Mr. Johal is survived by his wife Jaswant Kaur Johal, two son’s Paramjit Johal and Sarbjit Johal, two daughters, Surjit K. Kler of Yuba City and Daljit Kaur Sangha of La Habra, a brother S. Swarn Singh Johal of Fremont, two sisters Surjit Kaur Sandhu of Clairmont and Karam Kaur Sanghera of Richmond B.C. and 11 grandchildren.

The funeral services for S. Gurbux Singh Johal are scheduled at 12:30 pm on Thursday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel Marysville.
