S. AMARJIT SINGH, President of the Paul Trucking Co. of Wadson Ville, is an example of rare success which came to him because of hard Labour, great determination and collective efforts of their family. He migrated to U.S.A. in 1970 from his native village, Pragpur, District Jullundur, Punjab. He was hardly nineteen years old, when he started running a race to prosperity. He joined his cousin Mr. Mohinder S. Atwal at Fresno and started learning the tricks of the trucking trade. Mr. Amarjit Singh along with his brothers Suyjit, Pritam and Ranjit entered into his own business of trucking in 1976. with a modest start of one truck; now Paul Trucking Co. owns a fleet of 25 trucks. Their business complex is spread over in two acres and the work is promptly handled by trained workers and modernized machinery. The family also owns a seedless grapes farm of 640 acres at Fresno and is managing other business interests at different places. Besides being a leading businessman, Mr. Amarjit and his family take active interest in the community’s activities and work whole heartedly for the “Chardi Kala” of the panth. This family is widely respected for their selfless devotion. They have always generously contributed for every Sikh cause. The family is equally interested in the promotion of sports amongst the Punjabi settlers of North America.
