BOMBAY: The pound sterling has become costlier by another five paise following a further downward revision of the rupee by 0.15 per cent in relation to the pound sterling, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced here Wednesday.

The new middle rate now works out to Rs.34.10 per sterling as against Rs.34.05 previously. The new buying and selling states for spot delivery are 2.9399 and 2.9253 sterling per Rs.100, corresponding to Rs.34.02 and Rs 34,18 per sterling respectively.
