THIRUVANANTHAPURAM KERALA: Throe goals in Quick succession gave superior Romania a 3-0 win over hosts India in the round robin of the Jawaharlal Nehru international gold cup football tournament at the Chandrasekhar an Nair stadium here on Jan 13th.
After a barren first half all these goals came in a space of about seven minutes through Marius Predatu Daniel ifiodi and Stan lite.
That the heavier built Romanians were better ‘equipped cannot be denied bet at one stage it looked as if the valiant display put up by the Indians easier would see them at least to a draw. But they crumbled once they conceded a goal
In attack also though they made quite a few probes they just could not break through the Romanian defence.
