PATIALA: The PPCC (I) president Mr Beant Singh urged the Prime Minister to take all political parties in the state into confidence while finding a solution to the Punjab problem.
Talking to newsmen here Mr Beant Singh said the Prime Minister should not hold talks with Mr Simranjit Singh Mann under Article 51 of the Constitution.
Alleging that the situation was deteriorating in Punjab he urged the Governor Gen O.P.Malhotra to handle the situation with an iron hand to instill a sense of security among the people.
He said that he toured the Samana Patran and Ghagha areas and found that Hindu families had been migrating either to towns or the neighboring parts of Haryana. These families must be brought back and given proper security.
