  1. NEW DELHI: Mr. Iqbal Singh, Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, has appealed to the Prime Minister to ensure that the National Fertilizers Limited plant at Nangal is not closed as it would cause unlimited hardships to farmers of North India.

In a statement issued here, Mr. Iqbal Singh expressed deep concern over the threat of closure to the plant and urged Mr, H.D, Deve Gowda to have its financial problems sorted out to enable it run efficiently as in the past.
