CHANDIGARH: The executive committee of the Punjab Olympic Association ‘which met here yesterday under the president ship of Mr Sukhdev Singh Dhindse decided to approach the state government to seek permission for holding the 1991 National Games.

Mr Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa told newsmen here that he had been authorized by the executive committee to meet the Governor and put the proposal before him; the executive committee, he said, was concerned that Punjab, which spent about Rs 10 crore on preparations for holding the 1989 National Games, had not even had the opportunity to test the new infrastructure,
