CHANDIGARH: A division bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court comprising Justice RP. Sethi and Justice N.K. Kapoor dismissed a petition seeking removal of the Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh on Nov.28, for Violating the oath Of office, G.S. Grewal with T.P.S. Mann and Baljit Mann appearing for H.S. Nagra, petitioner, submitted that a division bench of the high court had made adverse observations against the Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh, in its judgment in the “Mansa selection case.” He was stated to have violated the oath of office of the Chief Minister for showing favor to some. While arguing, Grewal contended that cither Beant Singh be asked to take oath again or he should move the Supreme Court for getting the adverse observations expunged made against him.
