The alumni of Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana Punjab) landed on the Fremont Community Center on December 2, 1995 to pay tributes to their mother university which brought Green Revolution and White revolution in India. About 500 PAU alumni and family members attended the PAU alumni cultural night 1995.

The association organized the event with a sole aim of cultivating Punjab Cultural values in their children and apprises them of their rich cultural heritage.

The cultural event lasted about six hours and the spell bound audience enjoyed every bit of it, Many Bhangra and Giddha items by children of all ages in addition to performance by PAU veterans, made it look like a folk dance festival, The audience enjoyed wonderful poems, songs, and the skits performed by PAU artists. Dr. N.S. Randhawa Director General Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Secretary Agricultural India was the Chief Guest of the evening. Dr. Randhawa was moved by the efforts of PAU Alumni Association and encouraged them to continue the great work. He also suggested the formation of PAU Alumni Foundation to help the PAU scientists, get exposure and state of the art training their respective research fields abroad especially United States. ‘The association wants to thank the alumni for their unrelenting support for making the association activities memorable success, We are specially thankful to well-known Bhangra dancer Binder Sarabha and Ruby Deol for coordinating Bhangra and Giddha girls. The PAU alumni Picnic 1996 will be organized in June and alumni will be informed accordingly.
