LUDHIANA, Punjab, India: Pandemonium prevailed at the meeting of Unified Akali Dal here yesterday for half an hour. The slogans of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale were raised. The meeting of district unit was called to assess the arrangements for the U.A.D. Convention, proposed to be held on February 21, 1988. Parkash singh Badal, Sukhjinder Singh and other senior leaders were present. The trouble started when Jagdev Singh, a jathedar of Dehlon circle, criticized the Akali leadership. He said that there was no leader at present, which could make sacrifice like Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. He described the present leadership as power hungry. This invoked protests from certain workers. Later P.S. Badal, who took the stage, said that there were no groups in the party. Sukhjinder Singh called upon the party to mobilize ten lakh volunteers to start agitation against the Central government. He criticized the report of Sarkaria Commission. He declared that U.A.D. stood for implementation of the Anandpur Sahib resolution,
