SHARJAH, Pakistan translated their desire into reality as they out played and outclassed the west Indies by 57 runs to lift the champions trophy at the Sharhah Stadium here on Oct 15th.

Nineteen year old Waqar Younus and Abdul Qadir fashioned Pakistan’s facile victory as they dismissed the West Indies for 180 in 44.4 overs. Earlier, Pakistan rallied from 86 for four in 25 overs to 237 for seven in 50 overs.
