CALCUTTA: Pakistan will play host to the next Asia Cup Cricket Championship to be held in 1992 as per the decision taken at the Asian Cricket Conference (ACC) meeting held recently in London.

Jagmohan Dalmiya the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India who attended the ACC meeting as the Indian representative said that Pakistan has agreed to host the tournament the venue of which is decided on a rational basis.

The last Asian Cricket Championship was hosted by Indian in December-January last where Pakistan had not participated citing security reasons.

The ACC meeting was held immediately after the International Cricket Conference (IOC) at London at the second week of July.

The meeting also elected the office bearers of the ACC and Abdur Rahman Bukhatir of Sharjah was elected the president while Noorani of Sharjah and Ashraful Haque of Bangladesh were elected joint secretaries Dalmiya said.
