ISLAMABAD (PTI): Pakistan had acquired some technical capability in the nuclear field but it would not use it for the development of nuclear weapons, Islamabad has told Japan, according to a foreign office spokesman.

“In the course of normal development of its peaceful nuclear program, Pakistan had acquired some technical capability and that the Pakistan had taken a solemn decision at the highest political level to use this capability for peaceful purposes only,” a senior Pakistani official told a Japanese delegation during talks on Thursday on nuclear proliferation issue, the spokesman said.
