The incident was raised by several opposition leaders in the Lok Sabha. Ram Vilas Paswan, Janata Dal, charged Seshan with misusing the N.S.G. and demanded withdrawal of the force the demand was backed b) sharad Yadav and George Fernandes.
Seshan spent many years as senior officer with the late Indira Gandhi whose highhanded way: he evidently imbibed from her. He was in Prime Ministers secretariat during the operation “Blue Star”.
