NEW DELHI: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has decided to send an investigative team to investigate the recent killing of lawyer human rights activists Jalil ‘Ahmed Andrabi.

The commission Superintendent of Police will be leaving for Doda and Srinagar to investigate the incident, NHRC sources said.

Andirabi’s body was recovered from a marshy land at Kurspin he Rajbagh ‘area on march 2719 days after he was reported missing.

Thirty seven year old Andrabi was travelling from his office to house when his car was stopped and he was pulled out by a group of persons on March 9.

His relatives had alleged that he was taken into custody by the security forces, but the Army denied his artist.

The human rights activist had been planning to go to Geneva for the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) session before his disappearance.

He attended the Geneva meeting last year.
