UNITED NATIONS: Nepal on Friday formally brought to the notice of the United Nations its trade and transit treaty dispute with India as it continued its drive to seek international support for its case.
The UN Secretary General, Javier Perez de Cuellar heard for about 25 minutes Nepals version of the dispute from its Ambassador to the UN Jai Pratap Rana. This is the first time Kathmandu has formally informed the United Nations about the statement with India.
