NEW DELHI: The Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to take legal action against the Vishya Hindu Parishad (VHP) general secretary, Mr. Ashok Singhal, for his “provocative statements” threatening the communal peace in the state.

The Chief Minister, Mr. Digvijay Singh, told a Press conference here, On Oct.15, that the VHP leader’s Statement about “liberated Muslim enclaves” in Madhya Pradesh was absolutely baseless and constituted a serious threat to the peace in the state.  Mr, Singh said that he would have Mr, Singhal’s statement legally examined for moving the Court to restrain him.
