CHANDIGARH: Panic spread in Sector 28 on Friday night when the armed guards of an MLA from Punjab fired a few shots in the air on noticing some youths moving about in a “suspicious” manner. The incident took place near the residence of Mr. Pawan Bansal local MP.
On hearing the firing Mr. Bansals security guards took position.
Firing took place because of misapprehension of the guards of the Punjab MLA. The youths belonged to the same locality and were out on a stroll.
