NEW DELHI: A Punjab militant, who was arrested from a Pahar ganja hotel Wednesday, was Thursday remanded to police custody for five days by a Delhi court.

Gurpreet Singh had links with the militant Khalistan Commando Force and was allegedly involved in at Least seven murders, including that of one Mohinder Kaur in Ludhiana police commissioner Arun Bhagat told newsmen, PTI reports.

He had come to the capital four days back to begin “a new Life”, He had come to meet his friends, the police commissioner sad. Bhagat said five to six friends of Gurpreet Singh were rounded up and interrogated but he refused to give details.

Gurpreet Singh, who left Punjab five to six months ago, was planning to migrate abroad, Bhagat added.
