FISHKILL, NY: Labh Singh Bhangu was unanimously elected the president of the Mid-Hudson Sikh Cultural Society on April 15 during elections after the Vaisakhi diwan at the Gurdwara Sahib.
Elections in this organization have always been unanimous since its inception in 1969. The new executive committee will now comprise of Amrik Singh Rai Vice President, Kulwant Singh Bhangu General Secretary, Gurmakh Singh Assistant General Secretary, Harpal Singh Treasurer, and Ranjit Singh Bhinder Assistant Treasurer.
Jasbir Kaur Kalirao, Satinder Kaur Dhaliwal, and Kamal Raj Singh Goraya are the Social Secretaries. The Audit Committee will be Jagrup Singh Brar and Manjinder Singh Sandhu.
The board of directors elected this year for a three year term will consist of J.P. Singh, Arvinder Singh Kohli, Shingara Singh Bath, the past president, Parminder Singh Kanwal, the former General Secretary and Mohinder Singh Mangat.
