By A Staff Reporter NEW YORK: S. Harcharan Singh Bhatia and S, Labh Singh were unanimously elected Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Board of Trustees of the Mid Hudson Sikh Cultural Society in upstate New York.
A meeting of the board of directors of the organization on May 13 extended its whole hearted support to the World Sikh News and congratulated the weekly on its improved look and coverage.
“It is the only authentic way of knowing what is really happening in Punjab. This paper has also been giving extensive coverage to the Sikh community affairs,” S. Labh Singh said.
The meeting also discussed the extradition case of Ranjit Singh and Sukhminder Singh. It decided to take various measures to help them and to stop the Indian government from getting its hands on these two innocent young Sikhs.
The directors also praised the work done by the World Sikh Organization in informing the Congressmen and other opinion makers about the true facts of the Sikh struggle.
