MICHIGAN: Dr. Karl Hutterer, South and South East Asian Studies, University of Michigan, met with Dr. Virinder Singh Grewal (Michigan), S. Narinder Singh Somal (California), and Dr. Satnam
Singh Bhugra (Michigan) at Lansing Community College, Arts and Sciences conference room, Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Hutterer apprised the group that the total funds deposited for the Sikh Studies Program amount to $67,684 only, though redeemable pledges amount to $144,750 as of April 13, 1987, for the Sikh Studies Program at the University of Michigan.
The group was concerned at the discrepancy and believes that some donations might have been credited to an account other than the Sikh Studies. Dr. Hutterer assured the members to look into it and get corrected if any wrong doing.
ALL THE DONORS ARE REQUESTED TO PLEASE
CHECK THEIR RECEIPTS AND BE SURE THAT THE FUNDS HAVE BEEN DEPOSITED TO THE SIKH STUDIES PROGRAM.
