The news of the execution, which has been blocked from the major media in India was broken by Mr. Simranjit Singh Mann. In an attempt to gather support Akali Dal (M) leader Mann solicited UN General Secretary, Boutros Ghuli with an appeal that was sent earlier this week from Mann’s office.

Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha and Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda, two of the assassins of General A.S. Vaidya, retired Chief Officer Commanding of the Indian Army at the time of Operation Blue Star 1984, are going to be executed on October 9,1992 under Supreme Court’s order, During their trial under draconian laws, they had categorically confessed that they had killed the General as Indian Army attacked the Golden Temple and Akal Takht Sahib at Amritsar and 36 other Sikh Shrines under his command, which has hurt their religious feelings. Their trial has not been fair and proper. Kindly intervene at once and put moral pressure on the government of India and save the lives of these two Sikh Martyrs.”
