LAHORE: Sanjay Manjrekar continued to be the bugbear for Pakistan as he scored ‘a career best unbeaten 132 to help Indian forget a poorstart on the opening day of the third cricket test at the Qaddafi stadium here on Nov 30th.

Manjreker strung together a series of good scores on the current tour when he ‘completed his third century in 252 minutes to leave India with a respectable 255 for three in their first innings at close of play.

The Pakistan bowlers failed to make any dent on Manjrekar’s wall of defense and at stumps, he was on 132 as Ravi Shastri stayed with him for a patiently made 33.

Electing to bat, India found themselves in dire straits straight away when Krishna: machari Srikanth (zero) was bowled leg stump by Wasim Akram with the first ball of the morning’s second over after possibly getting an inside edge to what he thought was an outgoing delivery.

ROME: Six former Internationals will make the draw on December 9 for the 1990 World Cup finals in Italy, the organizing committee has announced here.

They are Karl Heinz Rummenigge (West Germany), Ruben Rosa (Paruguay), Bruno Conti (Italy), Daniel Passarelli (Argentina) and Bobby Moore (England).
