IMPHAL(PTI): Two persons including a police commando, were killed and at least three villages were set ablaze in separate incidents in Manipur’s Imphal, Tamenglong and Churae handpur districts Oct.1.

Deputy inspector general of police (operations), W.K.Lengen, told reporters that two unknown youths entered hotel hill view at Shingjamel area here and shot at police commando, P.Basanta Singh who died on the spot.

The killers escaped and their identity was yet to be established, Lengen said adding that a villager identified as Daising Maring of Lamdan Kabui Naga village was killed by some unknown persons who had set ablaze the village Located under Churachandpur district.
