SURREY, B.C.: Major Pritpal Singh Deol of Surrey, Can., passed away suddenly on March 31, 1988 at his residence here. He died after a full and eventful day while having his dinner when a food particle got stuck in his wind pipe. He leaves behind his wife, Dr. Balbir Kaur Deol, a well-known gynecologist, a son, two daughters and five grandchildren.
Major Deol was born on November 2, 1917 and retired from the Indian Army in 1963. He migrated to Canada in 1970. He was an ardent fan of World Sikh News and an ever smiling man who Sought and got all that makes life worthwhile and meaningful. He was cremated at the Hamilton Mortuary on April 6, 1988. The Bhog and antam Ardas for the peace of his soul will be held at Nanaksar Gurdwara in Richmond, B.C. on April 10, at 2:00 p.m. For more information, please call (604) 5912555.
