HYDERABAD India: Thirty five people in a wedding party were drowned when a lorry plunged into a swollen river in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, police said on Sunday. Police said the accident occurred on Saturday when the overcrowded lorry, carrying about 70 people, somersaulted from a bridge at Cuddapah, 400 km (250 miles) south of Hyderabad, the state capital. The dead included 15 women and 10 children.
