”Lithobattery” evolved in Emilia-Romagna known for its flourishing automobile industry in north eastern Italy, is destined to revolutionize the world battery market.

This new stone battery is virtually eternal say its makers. It never goes dead because it is based on an electrochemical process, the patent of which is a closely guarded secret. Ferroccio Ferrari a young electro technician is its inventor.

Epocar, a San Marino concern which makes replicas of old cars has offered $1 million for funding its large scale production. It cost is only 13 percent higher than that of a conventional battery.

This long lasting battery is sold on a four year guarantee. It can also be recycled. Recharging can be a giant step forward towards an electric automobile, “Once it is installed, it will last forever.” claims its makers.
